Roo Pouch – Leather Sunglasses Case

Michelle sews these attractive and hardy pouches from locally-sourced kangaroo leather, the strongest leather in the world, and arguably one of the most sustainable (at least in our corner of the globe!). They feature a leather loop for attaching keyrings, etc., and the thread is of German made, upholstery quality. The pouches are available in three sizes, and a variety of colours.

Measurements:
Large - Suitable for bigger glasses with wide frames - 17.5cm long x 9cm wide
Medium - Suitable for regular size glasses - 17.5 cm long x 8 cm wide
Small - Suitable for thin reading glasses - 17.5 cm long x 6.5cm wide

We source our hides from Packer Leather, located in our own Deception Bay. You can read about Packer's long family history and green credentials on their site, though suffice to say the leather would be wasted if not tanned and used, as the roos are culled each year, and the animals do much less harm than their hooved counterparts. We also strive to source the leather Packers cannot sell to larger producers, as we can work around small flaws and imperfections in ways production lines cannot. It's an incredibly durable leather, and we have pieces we made over a decade ago that are still going strong. We pride ourselves on making pieces that last, and pick out any that show flaws during their crafting, though please reach out to us if you experience any failings during reasonable use.
